Donna Gordon graduated with her master’s degree of social work in mental health and health from the University of Toronto and has been in private practice since 2013 and is in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
Donna is a registered clinical social worker, practicing psychotherapist, and registered yoga teacher who enjoys working with children, youth, and adults providing individual, couple, and family therapy. She embraces the value of the therapeutic relationship and provides a relaxed, non-judgmental and supportive atmosphere in her practice. Donna believes that it is a privilege to work alongside clients and that healing is a collaborative endeavour where she assists clients in clarifying their goals for treatment on their journey to wellness. All work is client-centred and purposeful.
Donna specializes in offering a holistic approach that encompasses all aspects of a client’s experience, nurturing an understanding of patterns and obstacles that can impact mental health, health, relationships, and overall well-being. Donna believes in empowering clients to draw upon their own strengths and realize their potential by providing evidence-based interventions to help individuals overcome barriers in order to move forward and thrive.
Donna’s background enables her to be extremely effective and comfortable working with diverse groups of individuals. Donna volunteers with several organizations and has served on many professional committees. Currently, she is on the Board of Directors of Wendat Community Support Programs and Chairs the Service Delivery Committee.
Donna lives in Midland with her husband of 25 years and has two adult children. She loves to teach and practice yoga, spends her free time outdoors hiking and boating on Georgian Bay.
